The eye-catching and characteristic color scheme serves to clearly identify it as a non-lethal protective weapon. Used internationally, it signals a non-lethal defensive intent to potential aggressors and as a result has a de-escalating effect.
The AR design of the HDC 68 makes it an ideal platform for customization to individual requirements and effective use in stress situations. It can be operated equally well by left-handers and right-handers. The shoulder rest, pistol grip and fore-end are ergonomically arranged for safe, precise handling. Numerous mounting points are provided for helpful accessories. Universal M-LOK slots on the fore-end and a Picatinny rail can be fitted with aiming aids like red dot sights, scopes, lamps and lasers. Slings can be optionally connected with the P2P DEFENSOR 68C via the Quick Detach (QD) interface.
The pistol grip conforms to the AR standard and is compatible with accessories from the aftermarket. The 300 mm barrel has a threaded muzzle (M22 x 1.5) for tracer units and is connected to the receiver with an Autococker thread. This makes conversion to tuning barrels possible as an alternative, and thorough cleaning of the barrel is much easier.
For safe troubleshooting, the P2P DEFENSOR 68C has a relief valve that disconnects the system from the power source without a loss of pressure.
When it comes to the power source, the P2P DEFENSOR 68C leaves nothing to be desired. The butt stock accommodates an 88 g CO₂ capsule as standard. For effective self-defense it is recommended to use two 12 g CO₂ capsules with an optional adapter (2.4747.4). The adapter activates the Quick-Piercing System in the buttstock. The two capsules can be left in place for any length of time without losing pressure. A light blow on the the butt plate is sufficient to pierce the capsules and make them ready for immediate use at full pressure. A pressure indicator that can be clearly seen and felt shows whether the gun is ready for action. As a third power option, an adapter kit (2.4062.3) is available for use of a 200 ml HPA bottle.
The P2P DEFENSOR 68C comes out of the box with a 20 rds magazine that takes both roundballs and precisionballs. An easy-to-reach regulator permits fine adjustment of the energy, guaranteeing optimal function and accurate hits for rubberballs, pepperballs or training ammunition. The polymer body grants toughness and easy handling.
Included in the box are 20 round CORE Pepperballs and 20 Round Robber Balls.
